♥ Skeletour 2026!
Last night I went to see Ghost perform live! I saw them when they came in 2018 during the Prequelle tour and had an amazing time, so I was stoked for the chance to see them again. Despite my internet persona, I am actually emo/goth/whatever irl and you'll basically never catch me wearing anything but all black! I got to go with my other goth friends and we really enjoyed dressing up for it. I went to see MCR in Tampa back in September, and at that concert I noticed something I love about alternative concerts--watching all the emos/goths/metalheads converge in a venue. When you see streams of black-clad people all meandering toward the venue, it's like watching a murder of crows flock together...Needless to say, it was the same for arriving at the Ghost concert!

Earlier in the day I told myself I was really hoping they would play Ritual and/or Spirit, and they played both!! The whole set list was full of bangers. I was surprised to see how many people sat through the whole show, though. I was standing and dancing the whole time, you know I was gonna get my money's worth! Last time I saw them live, Cardinal Copia was the frontman and he chatted a lot with the crowd. Perpetua chatted a bit, but not as much. Still, the Emeritus bloodline remains horny as ever, and Perpetua made sure to let everyone in the audience know that if there was time for it, he would have an amorous encounter with everyone in the audience individually lmao.

Phones weren't allowed in the venue at all, so I don't really have any of my own photos to share, and they released the official set photos in a weird way (3 pictures in an individual booster pack you got with your email? you're supposed to collect the rest from others' packs?), but here are two cool ones I got from my pack. The ghouls looked like they had such a fun time during the set, I wish I could be up there singing and playing tambourine with them! I wanna be a ghoul too~
I was lucky enough to get a tour shirt as well. The merch was a little lackluster, but I did get a good tour shirt, some booty shorts with skeleton hands on the butt(!), and a grucifix pin I will be attaching a locking pin back to. I was very tempted by the rosary but it was $40 and I didn't much care for the little Perpetua face on it--think I'll stick to the real thing for maximum goth. There were also hoodies with the ghoul bat wings under the sleeves, but it was quite expensive!
One of my best friends went to the show in Orlando, and told me a very sweet story about how she bought one of the merch rosaries, and ended up gifting it to another fan who just had her 16th birthday. She said she, her friends, and a bunch of people in the parking garage all sang happy birthday to her. That makes my heart melt--I love seeing fans be kind to each other! At our own ritual, there were so many women handing out and trading bracelets, necklaces, keychains, hair clips...I got a lot of treasures from other fans! In return, I handed out little plastic crows :]

All in all, it was a very fun and wonderful time........for most of us. There's a story going around the net right now that a security guard left in the middle of the set because the show was too satanic! I have to wonder 1) how did they not know the band's gimmick beforehand? and 2) what was the final straw that made them leave!? Was it the devilish stained glass? The big Jesus with sunglasses that flew to heaven on rockets? Was it the whole place roaring HAIL SATAN over and over during Year Zero? Guess we'll never know... ;)
