♥ Small updates

i haven't updated my site in three weeks because i haven't come across anything to add and because i'm trying to stop editing my site with the neocities editor, but i swear the only time i edit my site now is on the clock and i'm not trying to download my site/download a coding app/etc to my work computers x_x

at work we took down our map wall to install a new exhibit, a beautiful three piece painting that illustrates lots of local history and culture! it looks gorgeous. i would love to show you all, but i don't want to share quite that much personal information on the internet, seeing as this painting is one of only three copies in the country o_o just take my word for it that it's awesome!

i'm chugging along in my metadata class currently. all my coworkers are telling me the class isn't very practical/it's dense theoretical stuff i won't use in the field and that they're all sorry i'm having to take it. lol. lmao, even. the class is difficult but i'm getting through it...pray for me

anyways, i'm trying to get back into art and other creative hobbies. i've been doing nothing but work-homework-vidya-sleep lately and that's just no good. i've been reading a bit, but not as much as i want to. it's hard when you get home and you're mentally exhausted! i haven't even read my assigned stuff for class this week and class is tonight =_= the professor has such a droning voice, the class is from 8-10pm, and like my coworkers said it's all very dense theoretical info. he's an expert in the subject but clearly hasn't been in the field using it practically for a while, so it can get frustrating to read all these hardcore texts. they make me so sleepy some days! oh well, just one more year-ish and i'll have this damn master's degree under my belt. i'm almost there!

so far I haven't made too much headway on my chinese studies, but I find myself translating little things in my head just to see if I can remember words/syntax and I feel surprised to realize I remember more than I thought! It seems the information from my laoshi really stuck in my head, even if it's been a couple years. 我很高兴~ :]
