video creators i like

I love when people share creators they like, as I tend to get stuck in ruts on YT where I have trouble branching out to watch new creators. I tend to watch the same things over and over, or at least the same creators. I figured I would share some of my tried and true channels :]

Gaming

  • Game Grumps - A longstanding comedy gaming channel with Arin Hanson (egoraptor) and Danny Avidan. I've been watching this channel basically since it came into existence. Arin and Danny are great show partners and I can always count on them for a laugh ♥
  • Hamsterbuttocks - Really cozy gaming channel that does fashion games and, more recently, 3DS modding videos. Hammy has cute pet rats too! I love her gaming vlogs where she invites you to hang out in her home and game for a while.
  • Joov - Primarily a Skyrim channel, though he also does some Fallout. Does insane Skyrim challenges, mods his games until they break, loves to try wild ideas his audience comes up with. Really funny streamer!
  • BIOTREX - Primarily a Monster Hunter channel. Filipino Monster Hunter fan that goes through all the games solo just for the lulz, no matter how difficult they are, and shreds guitar. Really fun to watch his Twitch streams as well, though they're sometimes hard to catch because of his timezone.
  • LouTwoShoes - Monster Hunter pngtuber that reviews and plays the games with funny commentary. :]
  • Cozytoastyy - Lots of handheld gaming! Very cute channel that focuses on a lot of nostalgic video game content like 3DS, PSP, etc.
  • KevinoGaming - A real Neopets legend! Makes videos about Neopets gameplay and the community/culture.

Art & Hobby

  • Spilled Ink - I LOVE SPILLED INKKKK!!!!!!! Art channel of two artists who try out various mediums, sometimes with guest artists. Really really fun to draw along while watching these; it's like hanging out with artistic friends. These videos are funny and inspiring; they always encourage the viewers to try new things and to not be afraid of practicing art!
  • brattyxbre - A channel focused on zine-making and distribution. I really love Bre because she encourages everyone to get into zines at the entry level; there's no pressure to make a beautiful, professional magazine. She teaches you how to make scrungly, artsy, COOL zines that look like a real person made them!
  • Apple Cheeks - Vlog channel for a small business owner that creates and sells her own art. Talks a lot about the artistic process, coming into your own as an artist, and the day-to-day of being a professional artist. REALLY cute art!
  • Troy-Nicole - Primarily a channel about journaling, and my favorite journaling channel to boot. Troy Nicole understands the essence of journaling, how to make it accessible, and how to make it unique, all without pressuring you to buy expensive supplies.
  • v4mpire_doll - Awesome tech girly who builds very aesthetic PCs! I love her gothic vibe and all the fun she has building PCs and decorating her home with her equally-goth husband.
  • Wolfpitmachine - Zine maker extraordinaire and OC truther. I own some of her zines (and especially love her Make Bad Art one). You can also find her website here!
  • Ariel Bissett - Formerly a booktube channel, now expanded to include things like making a bookmobile and fixing up a vintage home. Ariel is full of sunshine, and she has a book podcast with her best friend called Books Unbound that's very good as well.
  • GingaNinjaOWO - A professional artist who posts a lot about her various art projects and her OC universe, Prism. Rea is sooo full of infectious joy and excitement; I always get the urge to pick up my pencil after watching these videos!
  • Magoonka - Variety channel about the indie web, comics, and art! Really cute mascot, and I love the way she edits her videos. Very joyful sketchbook tours :]
  • Jesse's Tea House - The channel of a Chinese tea business in the US. Jesse travels to China to hand-select the teas for his teahouse and educates others about the art of gong fu cha.

Reading

  • JessOwens - A commentary reading channel with book reviews and discussions about the bookish community online. Jess says her opinions with her whole chest and I really appreciate that in a creator!
  • GavinReadsItAll - A variety reading channel with lots of challenges, vlogs, games, skits, travel, silliness, cats, and reading scary books in haunted places. Gavin is upbeat and funny, and he has a second channel dedicated to manga!
  • mynameismarines - A very thoughtful booktuber who promotes critical thinking, reviews books (and is honest even if her opinion is unpopular!), and discusses the book community as a whole.
  • literarydiversions - A delightful Scottish booktuber who does challenges and reviews. Has an impressive reading tracker!
  • Suonnahbooks - Very upbeat reading channel with lots of slice of life vlogs. Suonnah is super passionate about her hobbies and it shows~
  • FictionalFates - Cozy variety reading channel with a beautiful home library and coworking stream!
  • BlackLitGeek - A variety reading channel including some really interesting video series where the channel creator buys the libraries of deceased readers and goes through all their books.

Commentary & Comedy

  • Danny Gonzalez - I watch so much of this guy. Comedian commentator that reviews wild internet stories, weird products, and questionable media. Makes funny songs and music videos once in a while. Extremely rewatchable videos and there's a huge backlog of content!
  • Drew Gooden - Another comedian commentator that takes on internet stories, stupid products, etc. Much like, and a friend of, Danny Gonzalez.
  • Gabi Belle - This genre feels overrun by men sometimes. Enter: Gabi Belle! Female comedian that reviews and comments on a variety of media and makes fun music.
  • Brook Sharks - Another funny female commentator that discusses a variety of internet content. Also she's very stylin'
  • StrangeAeons - Funny video essay channel that discusses niche parts of the internet, including various communities, tumblr history, old message board escapades, and more! Certified classically trained tumblrina.
  • Chris James - I've seen everything from this guy so I often find myself playing him in the background while I do hobbies. Humorously reviews a lot of old or weird reality TV shows from channels like MTV, Discovery, and TLC.
  • Izzzyzzz - Channel with video essays about a variety of subjects, but typically niche online communities, games, and art culture. The channel creator always does fun makeup and has lots of interesting visuals in her videos!
